Below is a list of projects at the Latshmere Swim Club, some small and others quite extensive. It is not written as an all-inclusive list of projects nor are the projects listed in any particular order. Our thanks go out to all of the help we received last year and this year -- we were able to knock a ton of projects off this list!!!
Pools
Main Pool
Repair cracks on gutter at deep end
Building
Bathrooms
Replace existing lighting in men’s and women’s changing and bathroom areas with brighter, more energy efficient lighting
Hook up hot water heater to men’s and women’s showers with addition of specific shut off valve for showers
Concession Area
Install a 'dutch door'
Repair/replace exhaust fan above grill or identify a comprehensive solution to ventilation problem (it get's a little hot in there)
Other
Replace roof – introduce ventilation options
Grounds
Pool Decks
Level decks around deep end and next to pool steps (State inspection requires correction to this problem)
Repair/fill cracks in decks (multiple locations)
Remove old, clean and replace caulking in joints between concrete deck slabs (multiple locations)
Grass
Set holes in ground to secure umbrellas
Playground Area
Replace metal back to large sliding board
Strip/clean/repair/repaint playground equipment (i.e. swing bases)
Replace fasteners/bolts with stainless steel hardware
Other
Repair three sections of fence – at start end behind lane 1
Paint fence
Paint light towers (poles and base)
Design and build sand volleyball court
Design/erect pavilions
