Committees & Assigned Responsibilities
Our board needs some help with the following duties. One person (name and contact information listed) serves as coordinator for each assignment. The coordinator is responsible for obtaining volunteers for assignment. Contact LatshmerePres@yahoo.com or fill out the following form if you are interested in helping out:
Recruitment (distribution of team flyers)
Registration (help with registration drives and open houses)
Swim Suit/Clothing Orders (coordinate the ordering process, payment collection and delivery)
Awards (help pick the annual team award and order it)
Team Picnic (coordinate the annual team picnic at the end of the season)
Fundraising and Special Projects (coordinate team fundraising projects)
Communications and Phone Chain (coordinate a team phone chain and relay information when needed)

Dual Meet Responsibilities
For every meet, we will need parental volunteers for the following jobs:
Concession Stand (HOME MEETS ONLY: 5+ people to set up, run, and clean up the snack bar before, during and after a swim meet)
Meet Set-Up (HOME MEETS ONLY: 5-8 people to set up the pool the night before the meet; includes placing lane lines in the water, setting up blocks and backstroke flags, arranging plastic chairs, setting up electronics equipment, etc.)
Announcer (announces each race throughout the meet and the meet score)
Referee/Starter - Donna Sprowls
Meet Scoring (2 people that score the meet; usually switch off half-way through the meet)
Runners (2 people who ferry the cards between the timers and the meet scoring table; usually switch off half-way through the meet)
Stroke and Turn Judges (2-3 MPSL or PIAA-certified officials to oversee strokes and turns during the meet)
8 & Under and 10 & Under Meet Assistants (2-3 parents willing to round up the young ones and bring them to the starting blocks)
Finish Judges (2 people that record the places swimmers finish in; usually switch off half-way through the meet)
Ribbon Writers (2 people that place the swimmer's time stickers on the back of the appropriate place ribbon; usually switch off half-way through the meet)
Timers (13 people to time each lane during the meet; usually switch off half-way through the meet; includes back-up timers)
