What Happens If We Have Inclement Weather?

Inclement weather will not necessarily cancel practice or a swim meet.  Coaches may attempt to conduct practice during inclement weather but swimmers will not be permitted in the water if thunder or lightning is detected.  Call the pool (564-3991) prior to arriving if you question whether practice will be held.  As for swim meets, show up to the meet -- rain or shine -- and we'll go from there!

What are Invitationals?

A primer on what "invitational" meets are and how to deal with them.

What are Divisionals?

Throughout the summer swim season, swimmers will have the opportunity to compete in at least five dual meets (Latshmere v. Another Team).  A swimmer must compete in at least three dual meets during the summer to qualify for Divisionals, which is an end of the season swim meet that features all six teams in the Division.  Swimmers select the events they wish to compete in, and compete against others in their age-group in the hope that they will land one of 16 Top Times throughout all 3 divisions in the Mid-Penn Swim League.  A top 16 time will allow them to advance to the All-Star meet, which is held the following day

All-Stars

The All-Star Meet features swimmers who hold the top 16 times culled from the four Divisional meets held in the Mid-Penn Swim League (MPSL).  NOTE: A MPSL league rule mandates that if you swim in the All-Stars meet and you qualify for the Mid-Cap Meet, you must be available to swim at the Mid-Cap meet the following weekend or else .the team will be sanctioned

Mid-Caps

The Mid-Caps Meet takes the top 8 finishers from the All-Star meet and pits those swimmers from the Mid-Penn Swim League in a dual meet with the top 8 swimmers from the Capitol Area Swim League (CASL), which features teams from the Cumberland and York County area
